Appeal - Welfare Reform Bill

Just go to the article and leave your views. And then write to your Monkey of Powerabuse. I'm too angry to explain, but the policy behind the new bill is revolting.

Oh don't even get me started on this...
(Most of the key areas proposed in the legislation are already being practiced. I'm doing my upmost in our sweaty little CAB office to deal with the fallout)!

They've closed the comments.

I probably shouldn't get started, but I will. It's absolutely ridiculous, yet we're supposed to be the crazy ones.

I like the bit where they'll read the "The rules on conditionality and sanctions will be read out twice rather than once." - yep cos rubbing it in will help - unless of course they just assume that mentally ill - stupid...

I'm beginning to strongly believe that we got a better deal back in 18th century...

OK I'm also bitter cos I spend my days watching services shunting people out as fast as possible and it would seem whichever way you turn you get blamed, accused of being a danger to the population, or told it's all in your head (and when I say you I mean I, but hey ho...)

I suppose I shouldn't moan, I am at least in work, but it's good to know that the safety net is disappearing...

The whole welfare reform bill is absolutely ridiculous - it would be funny if it wasn't people's lives it was screwing with.

I particularly like the part where women who leave there abusive husbands have a month to find work or risk losing there benefit. OOh and the bit about having to take part in "full time activities" cos it's not like people would work, if were capable of that or anything now is it....

Gaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take care,

I'm a fucking klutz for not being on the ball months ago. To be honest, the detail and the stress involved has meant stay well away.

But in one simple phrase, their language can be distilled to arbeit macht frei.

Strong stuff, but we all know the nazis went for the MH people in the 30s.

Easy target or fucking what?

Where is Spike Milligan? Oh, dead. Maybe they were waiting for him to die, being Plonker Charlie's Pal and so on.

I would despair, but I would rather say something futile like: Let's Organise!!!

The MH charities are in hock to the powers that be - that is obvious.

People like us should try to form some sort of movement with clout...

...

... ha ha ha ha!

But for the sake of Sunny Christ and Bonny Buddha, it's a thought.

Take care all, Dx
